character archetype

In the series I am reading called the hunger games, Haymitch is most like the mentor. He trains Katniss and Peeta for the hunger games mentally and physically and teaches them what he knows. He helps get them prepared for their adventure and shows them his wisdom when it's most needed. His help allows them to be prepared for the games and he plays a big part in their survival and how they overcome the tasks they face throughout the books. I also find Haymitch desplays some of the qualitys of a shape shifter because in the beggining of the series, Haymitch shows no intrest in training them and always shows up drunk so you think he is useless. By the end of the series he turns out to be a huge help to them and in a smart and expirienced mentor.

Classic

A classic in something that has lasting significance or worth. It's a story that is popular enough to have survived the test of time and is well known in more than one generation. A classic will have a universal appeal that people can relate to.

The book I have just finished reading is called the Mockingjay, and I would not consider The Mockingjay a classic. Although the book is very popular right now and has always been one of my favorite books, I don't think it is a book people can relate to and is not very well known in more then one generation. I dont't think it has all the quality's needed to be a classic and although its extremely popular now, will only be popular for a short period of time.

" What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that.
So after, when he whispers, "You love me. Real or not real?'
I tell him, "Real."

In this series I am reading called the hunger games, Katniss who is the main character, begins to fall in love with Peeta when they are thrown into the hunger games and forced to try and live on they're own, while they are in constant danger of being killed by other contenders. This reminds me of a movie I have resently watched called abduction. In the movie Nathan gets caught up in a in a fight that he was never suppose to be a part of, along with the girl that he has been crushing on. They run away to the wilderness to hide from the people who are trying to kill them. They soon fall in love just as Katniss and Peeta did in the hunger games, fighting together in order to survive.
Another similarlity is that both Nathan and Peeta had already been in love with the girls who end up going away with them, and it's the girls that end up realizing they feel the same way.
